Tips to fight acneAcne is related to problems with the sebaceous glands that we all have in the skin, around puberty when all the hormones go crazy some of those hormones can stimulate the glands to produce more sebum than they are supposed and clog the gland openings which produces whiteheads.

Treatments should be started as early as possible to avoid the expansion and blockage of the glands with blackheads.

There are different views and theories in regard to the causes of acne, but still there isn't a clear understanding on the genetic patterns that may pre-dispose its appearance, also there have been numerous studies that contradicts the relation between certain foods such as chocolate, milk, fatty foods and acne.

Rules to follow!

  • Wash your face gently twice a day with a mild dedicated product especially after longer periods of perspiration.
  • Do not ‘pop' or squeeze pimples because it can leave scars
  • Eat a healthy diet; it can help control the oils in your skin
  • Drink plenty of fluids (WATER) to hydrate your skin.
  • Clean cosmetic brushes and pads regularly with soapy water
  • Always wash your face with warm water and a specially formulated cleanser and toner to remove your makeup before going to bed
  • Visit regularly your skin care professional who can provide a deep skin clean and recommend the best products for your skin care needs
